Last month, we celebrate Black History Month. March is Women’s History month, and last I checked, Black women write Black romance so I’m going to do one more list of wonderful Black Romance authors you need to be reading.
Here are some Black romance authors who really captured my imagination. I particularly enjoyed the African romance. Happy reading!
What I love about my local Walmart is their ability to have a very large and diverse book section. Yeah, it’s mostly white authors, but I’ve found several Black authors such as Talia Hibbert. Ms. Hibbert is a British author and it comes through with her snark and humor. I laughed out loud a some of the antics in the book. It’s the second book in the trilogy and it’s delightful. I stumbled across books by Farrah Rochon in Target years ago and found her writing to be fun, snarky, sharp, and so satisfying. This is the third book in her series after The Boyfriend Project, and all of them have been so good and fun. Pick her books up today!
I used to share a publisher with Empi Baryeh and I was totally intrigued by her books. She wrote African Royal romance and I was completely enthralled. The premise of HIS INHERITED PRINCESS just grabbed my attention and held me untiol the HEA at the very end, I highly recommend her writing.
I came across Kiru Taye when I was getting into African romance, and let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed. Her writing is both sensual and intense, bringing all the beauty and excitement of African storytelling with the suspense aspects that keep you engaged and guessing. If you like contemporary romance with a twist, grab Ms. Taye’s work.
I’ve been friends with Tina Glasneck for a long time, and she writes some amazing Paranormal romance. If you like vampires, shifters, dragons, and Norse gods, her writing will definitely thrill you. Check her out today!
