Happy New Year 2026

Happy New Year to all y’all!

I hope your holidays were delightful, gentle, kind, and reconnective in the best ways.

I hope you received gifts, both tangible and emotional, that will bring you joy all year long.

And I hope sloughing off the last year – a rough year for many of us – allows you to find growth, strength, and prosperity in the new year. You got this and I believe in you.

As for me and the Muir family, we had a lovely Christmas celebration and really made deep connections to local friends in our community. It’s a change from earlier years because we always felt like temporary residents (even when we owned a house) and never made wide connections. But 2025 really allowed us to connect and it was a great thing. It makes 2026 feel like hope instead of dread.

I’m looking at the road ahead and there are big changes. This will be the first year in my writing career that I’m not publishing on the Zon. It’s both scary and like a burden has been lifted. I’m looking into new places to sell from, but as always you can get my books directly from me or on Kobo.com, Smashwords.com, barnesndnoble.com. There will be new places, too, but that’s for later in the month.

So what am I working on?

The Siren and the Drag Queen is still being written, but it’s closing on the end.

The Siren Queen is almost finished (a novella length PNR romantic suspense) and is all about #BlackLoveMatters.

I also have the “Middle Aged Jedi” story – no there won’t be copyright issues, it’s just the way I remember it – Soul Searching, the next Concrete Angels MC book.

I got a new plot bunny but I’m not working on that until I get the first two finished (and I have the cover for it, too!)

And a surprise book – I got my rights back to Seducing the Dragon, it has a new cover, and I’m working on getting that out at the end of January. It’s been out of print since 2016 so 10 years is a good time to bring it back (new title and cover, if you don’t recognize it).

That’s it from me right now. I hope you have a lovely weekend and get some time to relax and read. The new year doesn’t really start until the 5th so give yourself time to rest before we start up again. Hugs, blessings, and happy reading!
