Cover Reveal of my Upcoming Sapphic (F/F) Romantic Suspense!

There’s going to be a big ole cover reveal party in the Rainbow Romance Fanatics on Facebook tomorrow, but I wanted my patrons to see this fabulous cover first. I was invited to be part of the Summit Springs Lesbian Universe this spring and I was delighted they’d thought of me. The characters immediately showed up and told me their tale so I could get it done in time. This story will be out November 22 2022, but here’s the cover to the story. Isn’t it gorgeous? The character on the front is Merida Roark, bike mechanic at the Scratchin’ Gravel Bike Rental & Repair shop in Summit Springs, Colorado. Here’s the blurb: Some inheritances are to die for. Merida Roark was happy, leading an ordinary life as a bike mechanic at Scratchin’ Gravel Bike Shop in Summit Springs, Colorado, far away from her estranged family, and the past she thought long buried. Until the day an envelope arrives with an unexpected inheritance. Tam Grimes was an FBI profiler before a serious work injury ended her career. She moved to Summit Springs for a fresh start in the peace and quiet. Falling in love was not part of her plans, but when a bike chain eats her leg and Merida patches her up, Tam finds herself drawn to the beautiful mechanic. Their fragile relationship is tested when Merida’s home is savagely vandalized. The police have no leads, but it doesn’t take Tam long to realize the threat to her new lover is connected to her hidden past. When things go from disturbing to dangerous, Tam must use all her skills to untangle this web before someone removes Merida from the equation…permanently. You can pre-order it now if you’re so inclined. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B5JRFW94 See y’all on Saturday and happy reading!

Tattoo & Teddy Bear Tuesday: Sebastian James

Good morning! Welcome back to another day of beautiful men. I love doing this. And I can because it’s my blog and my rules. Aw yeah, hot man ahead. Well, it’s June and that means the summer has started for the kids. It’s good because I don’t have to drive them to school each morning and we can kinda get up when we want to – more important for the Muirlettes than it is for me, lol. But I like the more relaxed mornings. Speaking of relaxed… Let’s get started, shall we? This week, the hot Tattooed Hero is all tattoo and very little teddy bear beyond his beard, but he’s here to remind ye of the Highland Games that are sproutin’ all over the US in summer (the Las Vegas Highland Games were in April because it’s warm there, lol). Let’s see if he’s good at the hammer throw or the caber toss, aye? Meet Sebastian James. He’s a model for FURIOUS FOTOG and he looks damn good in a kilt. He probably looks damn good without it, too, but we work with what we have. 😉 Sebastian is available for romance cover images of all types. I’ve seen him as an MMA fighter, a bad boy, cowboy, sports player, and of course, the Highlander. You can get this tattooed hot man in all sorts of settings. You should definitely check him out. He’ll be on one of my covers, I just have to write the story for him (Hint: it will be in the Sirens series) Thanks to Golden Czermak of Furious Fotog for the permission to share this image with all y’all. Happy Tattoo & Teddy Bear Tuesday!

Cover Reveal – MR. FIXIT’S BILLIONAIRE

Cover Reveal sign being held by an excited redheaded woman in a pink shirt with glasses on her head

Yay! I have a cover reveal – because I have a new book coming out. Actually I have two books coming out in March. Both are associated with the Flip the Trope anthologies (of which there are two), but I’ll do a separate post for the other title. The first book is the new anthology, FLIP THE TROPE: SPRING FLING in which MR. FIXIT’S BILLIONAIRE will be included. Check out that hot image up above. *shivers happily* Here’s the blurb: Amanda Pendleton is more than just a pretty face. She’s the president of a wildly successful office supply company, a doting single mom, and a billionaire. All great qualities. Too bad they weren’t enough to keep her deceased father from making stipulations in his will. If she wants to retain ownership of her company, she must find a husband before the next board meeting. Easy peasy, right? Mike Everslee is a single dad, the manager at Mr. Fixit’s Hardware, and a hard-working guy just trying to make ends meet. But none of it affords him the discretionary income to pay the fees at his daughter’s preparatory school. When his daughter’s friend’s mom offers to pay the theatre fees and take them out to dinner, he’s just glad for a rare night out. But Amanda shows up with an astounding proposal—marry her in the next five weeks and stay with her for a year so she can save her company. If he does, she’ll set him up with a new house, a new truck, andpay his daughter’s fees and tuition until high school. Get a ready-made family, a sister for his daughter, and a beautiful successful wife, all for the price of a year-long marriage. What could go wrong? The anthology will have a different cover, but when I get the rights back to the story and publish it independently, this is the cover it’ll have. Yummy. Thanks to Golden Czermak for the model image and Kris Norris for putting it all together in the cover. Happy reading!

Cover Reveal – A TIMELESS HEART

Cover Reveal sign being held by an excited redheaded woman in a pink shirt with glasses on her head

As promised, I have a second book coming out on March 14 2022, titled A TIMELESS HEART. It was part of FLIP THE TROP: ROMANCE GONE WILD anthology and will be released as a stand alone title. It’s book 2 in the Elemental Hearts series about paranormal firefighters located in Cloudburst Colorado. Here’s the blurb: ~~~~~~~~~ When Bianca Pearce left Cloudburst, Colorado at eighteen, she swore she’d never come back. She moved to L.A., got married, and created a successful antique and modern clock repair business. But time mellowed the hurts of the past, and with a divorce and two kids in college under her belt, Bianca is ready to move back to the small town to have a quiet life in a familiar place. At her age, she knows who she is and what she wants, and figures love is better left to the young. Captain Śandor Halmi is the commander of the local Hot Shots squad—and a Zomok, a Hungarian Forest spirit that most often takes the shape of a dragon. His main goal is to take the whole weekend off to relax, ignore his phone as much as possible, and generally disappear now that the Colorado fire season has ended. Love is not on the agenda…until he sees Bianca at the local farmer’s market. He’s struck dumb by her beauty, bearing, and experience, and now he can’t get her out of his mind. Despite growing up in Cloudburst, Bianca doesn’t believe the stories about the town having non-human residents, and she definitely doesn’t believe in love at first sight. But something about the silver fox firefighter sets her desire ablaze, and she can’t seem to stop thinking about him. Not even when he shows her his true form. ~~~~~~~~ There you have it. Keep your eyes peeled for this bad boy coming in March. Happy reading.

Wednesday Randomness: Cover of the Month Contest

This month I put THE SORCERESS OF SONG AND FLAME up on AllAuthor’s Cover of the Month contest. I need votes to keep it up in the top ten covers, and usually that means at least 200 votes. But right now, as of this posting, I only need 20 votes to get into the top 10. I know that seems like a lot, but you can vote more than once (once a round which is usually once a week) and it will keep the cover upfront and in people’s awareness. Plus, you can tell your friends, and they can vote once a week, too. Thanks for making an effort on my behalf. I truly appreciate it. Just click the book cover below and you’re all set. I’m getting closer to clinch the “Cover of the Month” contest on AllAuthor! I’d need as much support from you guys. Please take a short moment to vote for my book cover here: Click to Vote!

**Cover Reveal** – The Sorceress of Song and Flame

Cover Reveal sign being held by an excited redheaded woman in a pink shirt with glasses on her head

Good morning!  I’m so excited to have a cover reveal for THE SORCERESS OF SONG AND FLAME. In 2019 a friend posted one of those lists on Facebook where you choose the first letter of something and your friend’s name comes up. It was for a RPG game and the characters were things like Bard, Paladin, Rogue, Cleric, Monk, Barbarian, etc. The one for my name was Sorceress and my friend suggested we write stories for each. The idea was people from our everyday world were sucked into this fantasy world through a botched spell and suddenly they had the powers of the characters they became. It was right around the time of NaNoWriMo 2020 when I finally got the bug to write the Sorceress’s story. Fortunately, the story ended right around 50K words, so I won NaNo, and I had a whole new novel to share. I called it a win because 2020 sucked for writing. It took most of 2021 to get it edited, but it’s here now, available for Pre-Order, and it has a fantastic cover designed by Kris Norris. The best part? This is the first book I get to put a map image into the pages. I’m so excited for you to see where my characters go. After you read the excerpt, make sure to check out the Release Day Giveaway going on for this title. Let’s get to the cover! blurb Matsuko Ishikawa, Audiologist and Newbie Sorceress Being autistic, I’ve learned the patterns and rules of my world to make life easier. Everything I know is thrown into disarray when I find myself wearing long robes and setting fire to a wagon with blue flames… From my hands. I don’t know where I am… or how to control my new pyrotechnic talent. Throw in a guy who can turn into a dragon and a goddess-given quest, and I’m totally out of my depth. But if I complete the goddess’s task of finding a magical artifact, I can go home, which is the goal, right? Arach Uzekamanzi, Third Born Prince of the Dragonkin Being a 126-year-old dragon, there isn’t much that surprises me anymore, but Matsuko is completely new. And it’s pretty clear she’s not local. Accompanying her on a quest to find magical artifact seems like the best way learn more about her and stave off boredom. Now I just have to help Matsuko acquire the Song Stone, return it to the goddess’s temple, and get her home. But the more I learn about her, it becomes clear I’ll do just about anything to convince her to stay. Pre-order it here: Smashwords (all formats) Eden Books (mobi and epub) excerpt Matsuko Arach unlocked the cell door and stepped out into the aisle. He’s here because he needs a nap? I gaped at him as he moved to my door and with a flick of his wrist, unlocked that, too. “Are you coming?” I scrambled to my feet, but still hesitated on the threshold. Could I just walk out? I’d torched some of the buildings and though it had been an accident, I’d still done it. But I didn’t know the rules and I didn’t want to see what they’d do to an Asian woman they felt was a threat. Shooting looks either way down the aisle, I stepped out beside the man who’d become my impromptu friend. “Excellent. Let’s be on our way. Hopefully, the guards will be gaming as is their wont and we’ll slip out without them seeing us.” He gestured ahead and I followed him down the grimy hallway toward the front of the jail. The other prisoners watched us, though none of the made a move toward the aisle except the mean-looking unicorn. It tilted its head as I passed, like it considered me an intriguing snack, and I hurried my steps away. Voices from the guards filtered to us from their wardroom and the scents of unwashed male bodies increased. Not that the jail smelled wonderful to begin with, but unwashed men plus the heat of a smoky fire made for a pungent combination. I swallowed hard against the stench as fear tried to crawl up my throat. Quiet as a mouse, Matsuko. I used to be very good at making myself small and quiet. But I’d grown and could shoot fire from my hands. That was distinctly not quiet. Arach paused just before the light spilling into the hallway from the wardroom and placed a finger to his lips. I understood his suggestion and nodded as he moved to the wall farthest from the doorway to peer into the guards’ space. I don’t know what he saw, but he nodded to me and darted through the light to the other side without a sound. Then he motioned to me to copy his moves. I bit my lip and shifted to the opposite wall, anxiousness ramping up in my chest. Would the guards see me? Would they turn and look just at the wrong time? My hands started to tingle and I glanced down. Blue sparks flickered over my fingers, and I clenched them into fists as I shot a helpless look at Arach. Nothing like setting off fireworks when going for stealth. He grimaced and looked around like he was trying to figure out what to do. I tried to picture the serenity garden to calm myself down again. They don’t know you’re here. They can’t see you. They can’t hear you. Calm down. I took a deep breath and focused on letting the fearful energy slide away from me. Thankfully, it took the sparks with it and my hands stopped tingling. I blew my breath out and looked for Arach. He nodded and motioned me to come to him on the other side of the light. I gritted my teeth and pulled up my hood before I straightened my shoulders and skittered across the open space. Please don’t see me. Please don’t see me. I’m nothing but…
